I’m going to tell you what I’ve been doing this week. I’ve been quite busy running around.
Today, I had an audition in Roppongi. I’ve found out that it’s easier to use Nogizaka station on Chiyoda line to go to Midtown. I always used Roppongi station on Oedo line. Midtown is pretty close to Nogizaka, which I didn’t know until today.
I’ve gone out drinking only once this week. I used to go drinking very often, almost every day. But I stopped. It’s not because I stopped drinking, but I started worrying about my health.
Yes, I’m concerned about my diet. As I’m not young anymore, I’m so called “ARA FOUR”, around fourty, I need to be more careful about what I eat and drink. You know, metabolism changes with age.
I hate to use this word, but this is “aging” thing. So, I try not to go wine and dining so often as I used to. Do you know what “wine and dining” means? You go out to some places where you can enjoy food with good wine, or have a party with wine and food.
There’s several places that I often go to, and this week I went to one of them.
It’s a bar, but they also have fantastic Italian food.
This is sea bream carpaccio. Yummy!!!
And this is some pasta (think it’s fettuccine) with 秋刀魚, I don’t know how to say Sanma in English. Well, you can always look it up in the dictionary, but I just don’t care what it’s called in English, he he.
Anyways, it was awesome!
And, these are the wine I had that night.
I prefer red wine, but pasta goes better with white wine, I guess.
I often go drinking alone. I enjoy my own company, which doesn’t mean I hate people. I just need my space, you know. I like going out with my friends sometimes.
I had drinks with my friend Eriko, who made me these beautiful earings.
I love turquoise. It’s my favourite color.
The bar was packed with regulars. I found some familiar faces and enjoyed conversation with them.
I had too much wine that night. I guess I need to get back to my normal diet 🙁
Do you enjoy wine and dining?

秋刀魚is 'saury' which sounds like 'sorry', so it's easy to remember. Actually my students love eating and talking about food, so I had to learn all these food-related words. (*^▽^*)

Oh yes, it's saury. I don't really care about Japanese fish names because native speakers never know about them.
I used to make a list of Japanese fish names and take it with me when I go to Sushi restaurants with foreigners. They always ask me "what's this?" and I start to explain, "it's called blah blah" then they say "don't know what it is. we just don't eat them and they don't live in our country".
So, I just decided to say "it's kind of fish that doesn't live in your country", lol.
